Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a surprising crossover event that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the official release, "A strange meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of banned ceremonies and monstrous transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine cult.
The questline focuses on "bizarre trials and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who accomplish the quest will receive an unique katana in addition to several objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
